Welcome to my teaching blog! I've been a blogger for a while now and have learned some pretty cool stuff. Through the years I have collected artifacts from my teaching experience! Enjoy :]

Miss Scott's Water Cycle Podcast
Making my FIRST ever Podcast was a bit challenging. But after reading through the materials about a podcast I found out it wasn't so bad. A podcast is a narrative lesson plan. I'm not totally thrilled about having my voice recorded, but that part will be okay too. I did my podcast on the water cycle. I found a site with information on the water cycle and put it into words for my lesson plan. I would do this lesson with 3rd to 4th graders. I have a worksheet, diagram, and tried to make my lesson interesting for kids.

Rubric
Blogging Rubric
After Mr. Pierce stated that our blog postings were lame, I decided to make a rubric to follow after each blog post I make. I feel that if I follow these specific categories to my fullest potential my blogging skills will be off the hook. In addition to my rubric, I also feel that adding information to your blog about how I will be able to use the information as a teacher myself if very important. Several things that I have learned so far in Ed Tech could be resourceful when I become a teacher myself. Creating the rubric was very simple. Rubistar.com allowed me to create a rubric for free and publish it online for my own use.

Fill It Out!
Today in class we learned how to fill out a form or questionare and put it on-line. In mine, I used it as a short quiz for Mathematics. Very neat tool, that as a teacher would be very helpful! Give it a try!
